INDEPENDENCE, Wis. (WEAU) -- The Independence Police Department is investigating a fire at a local bar.
Officers say a passer-by called in a fire at the Dugout Bar on Elm Street around 6 A.M. Saturday morning.
The fire caused extensive damage to the inside of the building.
Officers say they believe the cause was electrical, but the fire is still under investigation.
No one was injured in the fire and no other businesses were affected.
The Dugout has been in Independence for 40 years.
