Juveniles arrested for string of crimes

LA CROSSE COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) - On Tuesday, at about 10:45 p.m., the Holmen Police Department was called to the Holmen Aquatic Center for a report of people swimming in the pool after hours.

Holmen Officers arrived on the scene and found juveniles swimming in the pool. They were cited for the violation.

After further investigation with them, the officers were able to solve seven other cases of vandalism, theft and trespassing that happened between June 18, and July 30.

Several places of heavy machinery were damaged along with extensive damage to houses being built in the Village. Officers also recovered a number of stolen items.

The total estimated damage was $30,000 and an estimated $2,100 worth of property was stolen.

The juveniles are being referred to the La Crosse County Juvenile Courts for the charges.
