Local athlete wins silver at World Games
(WEAU) – There’s some exciting news for a local Special Olympics athlete.
Daina Shilts of Neillsville is competing in the World Games in South Korea and she won silver in the advanced giant slalom event. Daina is one of three athletes representing Wisconsin on Team USA.
3,300 athletes from 112 countries kicked off the competition Wednesday.
