EAU CLAIRE (WEAU) - Members of the NFL's New York Giants are in Eau Claire this weekend to take part in a fundraising effort close to their heart.
The 4th Annual Rich Seubert Celebrity Trap Shoot began Saturday morning at the Eau Claire Rod and Gun Club. Seubert, a Marshfield native, holds the event as a fundraiser for heart disease research in honor of his grandmother, who is a heart transplant recipient.
Hundreds of people saw players like running back Brandon Jacobs and Seubert himself take part in the trap shoot competition while braving the cold temperatures outside.
Rich Seubert, New York Giants Guard says, "The first three years, it's been ... the weather's been great. This year it's a little chilly, but guys still show up. The sponsors still help out. I get guys on the team to come out. It's fun. We make it fun no matter what the conditions are."
New York Giants Quarterback and former Wisconsin Quarterback Jim Sorgi says, "He's into it 100 percent, wholeheartedly. It just shows you what kind of guys he is. He's genuine. He's the kind of guy you want as a friend, and I'm lucky that he's one of my good friends."
