WITHEE, Wis. (WEAU)--Deputies are still trying to determine how about 30 cows died at a farm in Clark County.
Steven Struensee with the Clark County Sheriff's Department says they have tested the feed and done some blood work but so far have not been able to find a medical reason why the cows died.
Struensee says the cows were at ample weight when they died, and the farmer has not been charged in their deaths. He says the 30 cows died over a 6 month period and the farmer could be cited for not disposing of them properly within the correct amount of time.
Struensee says the farmer still has about 54 cows on his land and deputies will continue to monitor the farm.
