Motorcycle crash caused by gravel on roadway

PORTLAND, Wis. (WEAU) -- A man is hurt following a motorcycle crash in Monroe County.

Deputies say it happened just before 9 this morning in the township of Portland. They say 19-year-old Allen Suhr of Wilton was headed east on Hwy 33 when he lost control due to gravel on the road.

His motorcycle slid into the east shoulder and Suhr was thrown into the ditch.

Deputies say he had minor injuries, but didn't need an ambulance. He was wearing his helmet and protective clothing during the crash.
