Neumann talks about health care during stop

(WEAU) - Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mark Neumann visited Eau Claire Thursday.

He spoke at the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport about subjects ranging from the Affordable Care Act to earmarks. He says President Obama's health care bill will increase the nation's debt even further and if he's elected to the senate, his top priority will be to repeal Obamacare.

He also says campaign finances need to be re-formed and transparency is the key. "I think we need full disclosure on campaign finance reform and I think we need to get to a point where we have many more debates and town hall meetings where we see people face to face and that'll go a long ways towards solving this problem,” said Neumann Thursday.

The latest poll by the Marquette University Law School shows Neumann is trailing front runner Tommy Thompson by more than 20 points.
