CHIPPEWA COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- A new judge has been appointed to the hit and run case that killed a local dentist.

Judge James Babler, a Barron County Judge, has been appointed to handle the case. Court records show that decision happened on Wednesday.

27-year-old Krista Holler, who is charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle, was familiar with all three judges in Chippewa County. That is why a new judge was brought in.

Deputies say Holler hit and killed 71-year-old Robert Tschabrun while he was riding his bike just outside of Stanley in early June. They later found out Holler was the driver of the car.
