One hurt in car vs. buggy accident

Eau Claire, Wisc. (WEAU) - Police in Jackson County are investigating a crash that sent a woman to the hospital with serious injuries.

They say it happened after 7 PM Sunday night on the intersection of HWY 10 and HWY M near Fairchild.

Deputies say a vehicle driven by Chantel Formeister hit a horse and buggy that pulled out of a driveway into oncoming traffic.

Deputies say the passenger in the buggy, Lydia Borntreger had to be airlifted from the scene.

The driver of the buggy was not hurt.
