"We've been looking forward to it all year long, actually we drive by here on our way to work and just kept an eye on the rink and get excited when the ice is down, so we are looking forward to it,” said Pete Halseth, who attended the warming house with his son in Boyd Park.

Warming houses began at all four parks Saturday and will continue until January 1st.

Boyd Park also offers the "Winter Afterhours" event every Thursday night, where visitors are able to rent skates and snow shoes and enjoy hot chocolate.
