(WEAU) - About 1200 supporters were at Florian Gardens to support the Romney-Ryan ticket.

Crowds gathered bright an early just for a glimpse of vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan.

"I just want to be here to support him let him know that Wisconsin is behind him as it should be and that were going to turn Wisconsin red hopefully,” said Jenny Dubiel, Northfield.

Wednesday morning he addressed bringing energy back to America, debt and jobs.

"Let’s never forget, that most of our jobs come from small businesses. Let's champion them and lets stop spending all this money that we don't have. We’ve got to get this debt under control. We've got to balance the budget pay off the debt. That helps our economy today. That guarantees a better future for our kids,” said Paul Ryan, Republican Vice Presidential candidate.

That especially hit home for small business owners

"He was talking about energy in the united states and I really believe that we need to get back to supplying our own energy here and I think Paul and Governor Romney understand what small town Wisconsin needs to build our businesses, put people back to work and get our economy moving,” said John Deering, small business owner in Augusta.

"Obama keeps talking about the government helping. We don't need his help. We can do it on our own. Any small business can and that's the backbone of our country,” said Emilio Rinaldi, a small business owner of Eau Claire.

Voters were eager to get to Florian gardens to see Paul Ryan and not only was he campaigning, but he was also sending prayers to those who are suffering right now due to Hurricane Sandy."

"Let’s also think about if we can about sending some help, we've been doing some collections at the Victory centers not just in Wisconsin, but around the country to send them to the relief centers in the northeast,” said Ryan.

Cheers and yells were heard from crowd as Ryan urged voters to get to the polls.

T-minus 6 days until the election.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU)-The vice presidential candidate and Wisconsin native Paul Ryan made a stop in Eau Claire this morning

He spoke to a crowd at Florian Gardens.

Here's a look at some of what Ryan said during his speech.

"Wisconsinites, we're problem solvers. We don't care who gets credit, we just want to fix things."

"And so, when you take a look at challenges on our horizon, one of the reasons that our businesses aren't hiring, one of the reasons we had 23,000,000 people struggling for work, one of the biggest reasons why we have 15% of americans in poverty today is because our economy's not growing because there's a massive amount of government uncertainty plagueing our economy."

"On day one we're going to fix that. On day one we're gonna go in a different direction. So, this is Wednesday morning. Think about next Wednesday morning. Think about it. Less than a week to go. Less than a week to go, and when we wake up in one week, what we want to make sure that we realize is by working hard as you can in Wisconsin you can vote early and absentee in person, you can do it between now and Friday."

"Spend the weekend talking to friends, talking to relatives, talking to neighbors, making sure people go to the polls. And we're going to wake up next Wednesday morning and know that we have elected a leader to put our country back on the right track."

"And on day one, we can put together a jacket of voters on day one when we're sworn in to get us on the path to ending Obamacare. We can start cutting those regulations that are making it impossible for buisnesses to hire. We can open up federal lands for energy for drilling. We can approve the Keystone Pipeline. We can get people back to work. We can make sure countries that cheat on trade stop doing it by calling them to carpet. On day one, we can start pointing us in the right direction. And over the next year, we can look back at this moment, just like Sean said, and see it as the time we got our country on the right track."

"Look, there are very few elections that are as consequential as this one. The reason is that we've had politicians from both political parties make lots of empty promises to people for years to get re-elected, and now those empty promises have become a debt that is so great that this debt is not only hurting our economy today, but it's guaranteeing that our kids recieve a diminished future. We've never done that in this country. "

"You know, my dad used to say a couple things to me that just really stick with me. He'd say "Son, you are either part of the problem or part of the solution." He usually said that to me when I was being part of the problem. The other thing he would always say is "Each generation of americans confronts its problems so that the next generation's better off." We've always done that in this country. And on Tuesday, we can make sure that we do it again."

More on this story, soon.
