EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Extreme temperatures have caused more pavement to buckle.
It happened Friday afternoon on Interstate 94 near Highway 53 outside Eau Claire.
Several roads have buckled in the past few days.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation says the risk for pavement buckling remains high and urges drivers to be on the lookout for problem spots.
It says heat causes the concrete to expand and explode.
All lanes are now open again.
