EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) -- Dozens of families were given Thanksgiving meals tonight at the Sojourner House in Eau Claire.
Volunteers worked today to prepare meals for around 40 people who needed a warm dinner tonight.
Organizers from Saint Bridget’s church say they volunteer every 4th Thursday of the month. And today just happens to be Thanksgiving Day.
“If you can send them a nice meal, kind of chance their day a little bit, it makes you feel good, makes you feel like you're doing the right thing,” said volunteer Mike Campbell.
Food was donated from the church and Indianhead foods.
Around ten volunteers helped cook and serve the meal tonight.
