EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Police say a boy who fell nearly 15 feet from a second story window and landed on blacktop has no apparent injuries.

It happened in an apartment building on 7th Street in Eau Claire Tuesday afternoon. An Eau Claire Police Department spokesman says the six-year-old boy was on his bed, inside his bedroom, yelling out the window to his brother down below around 4 p.m. Tuesday. The boy pushed on the window screen, which gave way, and he fell. He was taken to the hospital for evaluation. Police say he was conscious and alert when they got there.

Officers consider it an accident, and say there were other adults and older siblings there when it happened.
