GRANTSBURG, Wis. (WEAU) – Police in Grantsburg are investigating the death of a toddler.

Chief Jeff Schinzing says 20 month old Ivy Spohn drowned in Memory Lake near her home on Tuesday.

She went missing around 5:30 in the evening.

Ivy's father told police his three children were playing in the yard but he couldn't find Ivy. The other two kids didn't know where she went either.

Crews responded and 45 minutes later, they found her in Memory Lake. Officers say Ivy died at the hospital.

No word how she ended up in the lake but it is believed to be an accident.
