Ryan says he has no regrets about run

MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan says he has no regrets about his role in the presidential campaign.

He tells WTMJ-TV the campaign did not foresee the increased turnout by Democratic voters, particularly in urban areas.

Ryan heads back to Washington Tuesday after spending some time with his family in Wisconsin. Ryan held on to his congressional seat in last week's election.

The question in Washington is whether President Obama and Congress can agree on how to cut $1.2 trillion from the deficit, raise revenue with possible tax code changes and address the entitlement programs of Social Security and Medicare.

Ryan says there will be plenty of time for Republicans to do some soul searching on the presidential election, but not when it comes to raising taxes.
