Sen. Moulton responds to Gov. Walker's State of the State

State Senator Terry Moulton issued the following statement following Governor Scott Walker’s State of the State address:

“I support Governor Walker’s plan to work together to move Wisconsin forward. Two years ago, we faced a $3.6 billion budget deficit, high unemployment and a hostile environment for job creators. Instead of carrying on with ‘business as usual’, we made the tough decisions required to reverse years of fiscal mismanagement in Madison and help get Wisconsin back to work. Today, the state has a budget surplus, unemployment has dropped and businesses are coming back to Wisconsin.”

“There is still much work to be done, but, with the tough decisions and hard work of the last two years, the state is in a position to invest in our priorities. We need to continue making Wisconsin great by improving educational opportunities, lowering taxes, developing our workforce and creating good paying jobs.”
