Sex offender to be released in La Crosse

La Crosse, WIS (WEAU)- The La Crosse Police Department says a sex offender will be released in the area.

Jacob W. Winch, 32, will live at the Attic Correctional Service at 612 Rose Street in La Crosse. Winch will be released on Christmas Day.
Winch was convicted of possession of child pornography and sexual exploitation of a child. He was charged with possession of child pornography of minor females and downloading child pornography onto his computer.

According to his conditions of supervision he is not supposed to have contact with minors, can't go to taverns/bars/liquor stores, no contact with the victim, not to consume alcohol or drugs, comply with standard sex offender rules, cooperate with electronic monitoring, face to face contact with law enforcement required, and comply with all requirements and lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin Sex Offender Registration Program.
