MADISON, Wis. (WMTV)- MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A new snuggling business in Wisconsin's capital city may have closed amid scrutiny from city officials.

Customers at Madison's Snuggle House can snuggle with professional cuddlers for $60 an hour. Supporters say the business helps people relax through non-sexual touch.

But city officials suspect the Snuggle House may be a thinly veiled brothel and cuddling will lead to sexual assault. Police say they're planning sting operations at the Snuggle House and city attorneys are busy drafting new ordinances to govern the business.

WMTV in Madison has confirmed, the owner of the Snuggle House in downtown Madison says he decided to close the doors Friday night after learning the Associated Press was doing a story that he says was about his controversial past.

He told our NBC affiliate in Madison over the phone Saturday that the backlash isn't worth it.
