BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU)--Seven local teenagers have been fined in connection with shooting deer and leaving them for dead.

DNR Warden Supervisor, Jeremy Peery, says the teens, who are all from Bloomer, each received two civil forfeiture violations. They were ordered to pay hundreds of dollars in fines and they won't be allowed to hunt, fish or trap for two years.

Six deer were shot and left for dead in the Marshmiller Lake area in November.

The boys were 14 to 17 years old. The Chippewa County District Attorney says no criminal charges will be filed.
