WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - A jury trial is set for the former Athens girls basketball coach accused of sexually assaulting one of his players. Rory McKellips, 56, faces felony charges of Repeated Sexual Assault of a Child, Exposing Genitals and Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime.

According to a criminal complaint, McKellips had sexual contact with the teenage girl three times in 2011. Police say he admitted to kissing the teen and giving her a cell phone to use.

McKellips coached girls basketball at Athens High School during the 2010-2011 school year. However, the charges against McKellips follow a long career of coaching. McKellips led Mosinee High School's girls basketball team from 1994 to 2008, with a state championship win in 2000. McKellips was inducted into the Wisconsin Basketball Hall of Fame in 2010.

A five day jury trial is set to begin June 24th. McKellips is free on a $25,000 cash bond.
