Two officers hurt while arresting suspects accused of armed robbery

(WEAU) - Two Chippewa Falls police officers are hurt trying to arrest two people who had warrants out of Oklahoma.

Chief Wendy Stelter says officers found Jason Roach behind the Northridge Center in Chippewa Falls Monday night. She says he was driving a stolen SUV from Eau Claire and also had a stolen, loaded handgun.

Investigators found out Roach and his girlfriend, Tiffany Holmes, were wanted for armed robbery.

When they tried to arrest him, he started fighting. Officers were punched and kicked before using a taser to arrest him.

Roach is also wanted for kidnapping in Oklahoma.
