UPDATE: Fire causes minor damage to Bloomer business

Bloomer, Wis, (WEAU)-- Catalytic Combustion Corp owner Mark Ruff says quick response from the Bloomer Fire Department saved his business.

Crews were called to the scene of a fire at Catalytic Combustion Corp. on the 700th block of 21st Avenue in Bloomer around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Ruff says the fire started in a process oven. He says the building only sustained minor damage and operations wont be interrupted.
Ruff also thanks a neighbor who called in the fire.


BLOOMER, Wis. (WEAU)-- Crews were called to the scene of a business fire in Bloomer.

It started at Catalytic Combustion Corp. on the 21st Avenue block around 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Fire crews say it may have started in an oven. The fire was contained by about 10 p.m. and there's no word yet on how much damage was caused.

Roads were blocked off in the area for about an hour.

No one was in the building at the time and no one was hurt. Firefighters say a neighbor called in the fire.
