(WEAU) - Thursday evening people were able to help an area non-profit and enjoy some good wine.
The United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley held a fundraiser at the State Theatre in Eau Claire. Visitors were able to sample some wine and food parings, and place their bids in a silent auction.
Nate Steffenhagen with the Emerging Leaders Advisory Council told us Thursday night "All the money does go to the United Way campaign, helps program partners, people in need, community, so just a great event."
Organizers say the wine tasting raised more than $4,000.
