(WEAU) - A local senator is another step closer to a possible run against republican governor Scott Walker.
Democrat Kathleen Vinehout updated her campaign registration statement.
It's dated last Friday, and shows the senator from Alma intends to run for governor.
She can now raise and spend money to run even if she doesn't become a candidate.
For that to happen, she'd have to file more paperwork with the government accountability board.
