Bipartisan bill requires annual WEDC audit

The legislation requires an independent annual financial audit of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp. Currently the agency is audited every other year by the Legislative Audit Bureau.

NEW INFORMATION: Wis. hospitals work to reduce infection rates

The state Division of Public Health's 2012 report looked at four types of serious infections at hospitals. It said Wisconsin hospitals reduced occurrences of bloodstream infections associated with intravenous lines and urinary tract infections among those who had catheters.
