The Passion of the Christ 2013
Through the witness of one of her Jewish serving girls, Procula, the wife of Pontius Pilate, becomes aware of the works of the man Jesus. As she learns of his miracles, she is compelled to investigate further as she compares the demotion that God would have to undergo by becoming a human to her own position of influence as the Roman governor’s wife. While contemplating the information she has gathered, Procula falls into a vision which leads her to actions she would not normally attempt.
Each year we depict different scenes from Christ's life, we sing different songs, and we emphasize different characters; however, the message is the same: Jesus Christ left Heaven and came to earth as a man, took the penalty that each one of us should bear, and died in our place. In His rising again, we are guaranteed an eternal existence with God in Heaven if we accept that Jesus died for our sins, thereby taking our punishment for those sins.
