A new support group has formed in the Eau Claire area just for dads.
The Eau Claire Area School District Early Learning & Head Start programs have formed a new support group for Dads –named Dads Advising DadS (D.A.D.S.)
The purpose of D.A.D.S. is to develop a leadership committee for the Eau Claire Fatherhood Initiative. This group meets regularly to discuss relevant issues fathers are facing. Our goal is to develop this group into a peer support group for other fathers in the community and to promote male advocacy of and for the local fatherhood initiative. We hope to grow and develop this group so as to invite guest speakers to come in and talk about specific topics as well as to be able to offer additional trainings and workshop for fathers.
The group meets from 6 to 7 pm on the first Wednesday of the month at the Eau Claire Area School District Administration Building, 500 Main Street, Eau Claire. All dads, step-fathers, grandfathers and other male role models are invited. Meetings are free to attend.
