EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – A new program at Chippewa Valley Technical College is getting a financial boost.
The “Girls on Fire” program will show girls in the community what it’s like to fight a fire. The five-day camp is scheduled for August, and is open to girls between 7th and 12th grades.
On Friday, we discussed how the camp will benefit from grant money and the challenges women face as they prepare to compete for jobs in a field traditionally dominated by men.
