A Chetek man involved in a standoff in Cameron in March is found to be competent to stand trial

Douglas Moses underwent a competency evaluation after pleading not guilty by reason of insanity to charges of being a felon in possession of a firearm and failure to comply with an officer.

On March 8, Moses locked himself inside a room at the Viking Motel in Cameron with a loaded rifle.

Moses surrendered to police after a 20 hour stand off.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on June 25.
