Eau Claire police were busy with a crash Thursday morning near Sacred Heart Hospital when a semi knocked down a stop sign and a traffic light.

Police say the semi was pulling off the frontage road in front of the hospital and onto West Clairemont Ave., drove over the stop sign and then knocked over a traffic light. Officers stopped the driver about 2 miles down the road and cited him.

There were no injuries and there was little disruption to traffic on Clairemont.

What a disaster Clairemont is. Excellent planning and design.
