Spooner Man Accused of Abusing his Fiance's Daughter Save Email Print

The Spooner man accused of severely abusing his fiance’s daughter after surviving the I-35 bridge collapse is scheduled to appear in court Friday.

Michael Stoner is charged with causing severe head injuries to his fiancé’s 2-year-old daughter.

Stoner claims the child fell down the stairs while he was watching her.

He and his fiancé later survived the bridge collapse while they were on their way to see the child in the hospital

Stoner is scheduled appear in Washburn County court Friday afternoon for a motion hearing.

His trial is scheduled to start July 28th.

Kris: (from WEAU staff) because of medical privacy laws, we cannot get information from medical providers on patients. We need a family member to okay the condition updates with the hospital, or to call us directly and give us an update.

I agree with Brenda. What I am wondering is why we haven't heard the condition of this precious little angel???? News people, isn't this your job...we want the WHOLE STORY! I hope she's doing wonderful.

If I remember correctly, and I am sure I do, this child's mother was warned that Michael was dangerous. Yet she chose her needs over her daughter's needs and look at the result. She is as much to blame.
