The music program at the Chippewa Falls Senior High School is about to get more than $4,000.

Monday, the Greenhalgh Memorial Music Endowment Fund will make its first grant to the program.

The co-chair of the fund says the money will help the school buy equipment for the marching band.

The fund was established in October of 2005, after Chi-Hi band director, Dough Greenhalgh, died in a bus crash on I-94 near Osseo. It helps to pay for the activities of the music program at the high school.
