When you see the red shirts hard at work in Downtown Eau Claire on Saturday, May 17, you'll know there are people out there trying to clean up this town.

The "Our City Spring Spruce Up" starts at 9 a.m.

Volunteers meet up at the Valleybrook Church on Barstow Street, then scatter throughout downtown to work on a variety of clean-up projects.

Organizers expect nearly-300 people to help out. Everyone who does gets a free t-shirt and lunch.
