Jurors from outside Juneau County will decide whether a self-styled bishop helped hide a corpse on a follower's toilet.

Alan Bushey's attorney, Thomas Steinman, argued publicity makes it impossible to select an unbiased jury in Juneau County. District Attorney Scott Southworth countered media coverage has been more intense elsewhere.

Judge John P. Roemer granted the request for change of venue Tuesday.

Prosecutors say Bushey told his follower, Tammy Lewis, to keep 90-year-old Magdeline Alvina Middlesworth's body on Lewis' toilet. Middlesworth was another member of their sect.

Bushey allegedly told Lewis God would bring Middlesworth back to life. Prosecutors say the pair wanted Middlesworth's Social Security.

Poor Bushey....afraid he won't get a fair trial......Who in their right mine would approve of what he did? No respect for a 90 year old lady, or the children, stealing from Mrs. Middlesworth and brainwashing her, and he is afraid he won't get a fair trial! May he rot in prison forever!!!!
