Brett Favre said today he and the Green Bay Packers are at a stalemate.

Favre and coach Mike McCarthy do agree on one thing -- that Favre would be a distraction if he were to practice with the team.

Favre tells ESPN that he doesn't have a problem with competing with Rodgers for the starting job, and can "truly understand" why McCarthy would make Rodgers the starter.

But Favre also says a competition "probably isn't going to work" and that "the problem is that there's been a lot of damage done" that he can't forget.

Favre says it's simple and complicated, both at the same time.

I think Farve should have a chance back considering he gave us 16 years. Rodgers is even willing to back down. I don't see what the big deal is.
