The power company is reminding you to think safety when you're out on the river this spring and summer.

Xcel Energy is taking a cue from the state, which calls April 28 through May 3 Dam Safety Awareness Week.

The company has some suggestions for those of you boating, canoeing, kayaking, or taking part in other recreation on the river.
