An internationally known speaker and grief counselor will be in Eau Claire next month.

On the Today show, Wednesday, April 30, we'll tell you more about the event and the process of grieving.

Eau Claire, Wis., - The Healing Place, Sacred Heart Hospital’s grief support and holistic healing center, is sponsoring a special evening with acclaimed author, educator and grief counselor Darcie Sims, Ph.D. Dr. Sims’ presentation, If I Could Just See Hope.

May 8th
7 p.m.
Sacred Heart Hospital’s Community Auditorium
900 West Clairemont Ave, Eau Claire.

An internationally-recognized speaker, Dr. Sims will guide the weary traveler to a healing space of joy and love. She will discuss the language of grief and hope; hanging on versus letting go; and will help participants to develop a personal plan for survival.

This evening of hope and healing will focus on helping grieving individuals feel support in their sorrow. The experience of grief is powerful, but so is a person’s ability to help him or herself heal. In doing the work of grieving, one moves toward a renewed sense of meaning and purpose in life.

There is no cost to attend this special event, but advance registration is required by May 6.

Please call The Healing Place at 715-717-6028 to register and for more information.
