Members of the Eau Claire Figure Skating Club are paying close attention to the competition at the 2010 Winter Olympics for inspiration and motivation to make their own strides in the sport.

Many of the skaters in the club are just starting their Learn To Skate program, while others compete in junior competitions around the state and region.

For these experienced skaters, their goal isn't Olympic glory, but rather to improve their own skills while participating in a sport they love.

These local athletes put in the same kind of commitment and dedication that help Olympic athletes reach a world-class level.

However, for these girls, their reward is fun, friendship, and the ability to pass on their passion to younger skaters coming up behind them.
