One day one of our teachers saw it and thought it was like really cool and put it all over social networks and stuff. And then you guys (WEAU) saw it and we got a bigger response," says Whitehall senior, Brian Matthews in regard to he and his teammates YouTube video.

Three seniors from Whitehall's basketball team were watching trick shots on YouTube one afternoon when they thought they should give it a go. They were not only surprised with how well it turned out, they accomplished their goal, to entertain others.

"I think most people think it's real but a couple of people have asked me how long it took me to edit it and stuff...and we definitely didn't," adds Matthews.

"Some of them were like one in a million shots and we ended up getting them within trying within an hour of shooting," says senior center, Ronnie Lockington.

"We had fun making the shots and it would be funny if we made one on our first try or (when) we wouldn't have the camera going," adds teammate, Tyler Pientok. "They're unrealistic game shots most of them."

As much fun as it was for the boys to make the video, their number one focus is scoring for the team.

"Well we definitely want to win conference and make it to state cause that's every team's dream. But as of now we just look at one game at a time," says Pientok.

"(We want to) Accomplish an even bigger goal, which is going to Madison and playing in the Kohl Center," adds Matthews.

Their coach says the boys video coincides with team objectives.

"Our number one goal in our program is to have fun. And you know time and place, we try to tell everyone that," says Whitehall boys basketball coach, Dave Henrickson. "And these kids are very creative, intelligent, quality young men and they've done this in the off-season and it's created a lot of interest and laughs, and I give those guys credit for what they've done."

Other teams should be warned...don't leave the game up to a half court shot or a full court shot...these guys might make it.
