ATHLETE OF THE WEEK: Luke Smith returns to the mat for Agon Wrestling

The sport has since been reinstated, creating quite a commotion internationally and here in the states. In fact, youth wrestling participation is on the rise, and now former NCAA and Olympic stars are coming together to promote the sport. AGON Wrestling Championships has now hosted two events with the third one coming to Whitewater in January. Chippewa Falls native, Luke Smith is this week's Gordy's Athlete of the Week, as he comes out of retirement.

Updated: 12/20/2013 - Boys hoops headline SportScene 13 on this Thursday. Start at Eau Claire Regis, where the Osseo-Fairchild Thunder topped the Ramblers 60-53. Then off to Altoona, where the Rails topped Stanley-Boyd 79-48. In girls action, Colfax defeated their rivals in Elk Mound 51-28. In boys hockey, Chippewa Falls skated past Eau Claire North 5-1.
