Packers coach Mike McCarthy says tight end Bubba Franks could miss a couple weeks because of a sprained knee he suffered in yesterday's loss to Washington.
The team is starting its bye week, but the coach says a preliminary diagnosis is that Franks will miss the next game at Denver October 29th and possibly the November third game at Kansas City as well.
Franks has caught 14 passes for 90 yards and two touchdowns this season.
The Packers still have starter Donald Lee at tight end.
Now the coaches could promote Ryan Krause or James Adkisson from the practice squad to fill in for Franks.
They indicated today that Krause is the likely choice.
