NFL Reinstates Packers WR Koren Robinson

The NFL has reinstated suspended Green Bay Packers wide receiver Koren Robinson.

His agent Alvin Keels says Robinson got the news today and was -- quote -- "excited to be given another chance."

Today is the first day Robinson was eligible to return from his one-year suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy. He had petitioned for reinstatement.

Keels says Robinson has been working out in Arizona and will probably fly to Green Bay tonight.

Messages left with the Packers were not immediately returned.

Robinson was suspended after leading police on a high-speed car chase in August 2006. The Minnesota Vikings cut him soon after.

Then the Packers signed him, but Robinson played in only four games before he was suspended.
