Prince Fielder was named the 2007 recipient of the Hank Aaron Award today for "Best Overall Offensive Performance" in the National League.
The American League award went to New York's Alex Rodriguez
Fielder was elected in fan balloting from in September on the MLB.com web site from a field of five finalists in the N-L.
The other finalists were Atlanta's Chipper Jones, Cincinnati's Ken Griffey Jr., New York's Jose Reyes and St. Louis' Albert Pujols.
The 23-year-old first baseman became the youngest player in major league history to hit 50 home runs in a season in '07, finishing with that exact total to lead the NL.
