Badgers Banged Up Heading into Michigan Game

University of Wisconsin cornerback Allen Langford and defensive tackle Jason Chapman are done for the season and both will undergo knee surgeries. Badgers head coach Bret Bielema made that announcement during his weekly newsconference with the media on Monday.

Right tackle Eric Vanden Heuvel (Hudson) is still experiencing significant pain and underwent more tests Monday on his injured ankle. He almost certainly won't play against Michigan on Saturday.

As for tailback P.J. Hill, the sophomore is not being counted on this week, though if he returns, it will be a bonus.

That wraps up the team's significant injury situation heading into a game that was highlighted at the start of the season as potentially deciding the Big Ten Championship.

Instead, Michigan (8-2 overall, 6-0 Big Ten) can do no worse than play for a share of the title in its showdown at home against Ohio State (10-0, 6-0) the following week. The Badgers (7-3, 3-3) are trying to avoid their first four-loss season in conference play since 2003.
