Blugolds Make Badgers Dig Deep

Don't let the 74-35 final score fool you... In Wednesday night's WIAC - Big Ten exhibition game between the Wisconsin Badgers and UW Eau Claire, the Blugolds were within striking distance for most of the first half.

After scoring only three of the first fourteen points in the game, the Blugolds rallied to within two several times in the first half. In the end, however, the Badgers pulled away to win by 39.

Geoff Probst led the way for UW Eau Claire, chipping in 16 points in the effort. Senior Captain Dan Beyer and freshman Ryan Shea chipped in five points each.

The Blugolds are back in action a week from Friday, when they meet Grinnell at the Wartburg College Tournament in Waverly Iowa.
