After beating No. 13 Michigan 37-21 on Senior Day at Camp Randall Stadium, the Badgers moved into the AP and USA Today/Coaches Polls top-25. Wisconsin is now ranked 24th in both polls.
Other Big Ten teams in the USA Today Poll include Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan and Penn State. Michigan, who Wisconsin beat, fell to No. 23, while Ohio State moved down to seventh after losing to then un-ranked Illinois. The Illini moved into the rankings and are now sitting at No. 21. Penn State moved up from 25 to 22. A total of five Big Ten teams are ranked in the USA Today top-25.
LSU takes over the No. 1 spot, while Oregon, Oklahoma, Kansas and West Virginia round out the top five.
In the AP Poll, the top five is the same, while Ohio State is seventh, Illinois is 20th and Michigan is 23rd.
The Badgers also found themselves ranked No. 25 in the BCS standings and No. 23 in the Harris poll.
UW travels to Minnesota Saturday to close out the 2007 regular-season. The Badgers and Gophers will be playing for the storied Paul Bunyan Axe with kickoff at 2:30 p.m. on the Big Ten Network.
