Trevon Hughes scored 21 points and Brian Butch and Joe Krabbenhoft had identical double-doubles as Wisconsin defeated Savannah State 79-32 Thursday night in the America's Youth Classic tournament, at the Kohl Center in Madison.
The Badgers scored the game's first 17 points, establishing control from the game's first minute. The outmanned Tigers missed their first six shots from the floor and turned the ball over four times, while Wisconsin was a picture of efficiency and unselfishness on the other end.
All five Badger starters scored during the stretch, as Wisconsin made 7-of-9 shots from the floor.
Butch and Krabbenhoft scored 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds apiece, as the bigger Badgers owned a 51-27 rebounding edge.
