Hanna Zavecz scored 25 points to lead Wyoming to a 67-66 overtime victory over Wisconsin in women's college basketball in Madison tonight.
The Cowgirls' accurate free throw shooting helped them overcome the Badgers, who led 32-22 at halftime before being outscored by 10 points in the second half, which ended with the score deadlocked at 60-60.
Wyoming (4-0) made 14 of 16 free throws, while the Badgers (1-2) made 6 of 11.
Aubrey Vandiver added 17 points for Wyoming and Justyna Podziemska had 11.
Jolene Anderson scored 25 points to lead the Badgers, who also got 11 points from Janese Banks and 10 from Danielle Ward, who had a game-high nine rebounds.
Anderson hit a 3-pointer early in the overtime to give Wisconsin a 63-62 lead, but the Cowgirls scored on their next possession, led 67-66 with one minute left and held on to win.
