Marcus Landry scored 16 points, Brian Butch added 14 and Trevon Hughes had 12, as Wisconsin beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee 61-39 in men's college basketball in Milwaukee tonight. The Badgers now have beaten the Panthers in their last 15 meetings.
The Badgers (7-2) bounced back after having their 28-game home winning streak snapped by Marquette last Saturday.
The Panthers (3-7) are on a six-game losing streak and were clearly overmatched by Wisconsin.
But sloppy play by the Badgers kept the score close in most of the first half.
Early in the second half, Wisconsin started to pull away with a six-point run, and the lead went to 40-23 when Landry hit a wide open 3-pointer.
Torre Johnson, a transfer from Oklahoma State, scored 10 points to lead the Panthers, who were outrebounded 37-16.
